Released in August, 1968. Due to heavy demand Capitol used both RCA and Compo in pressing the discs. The compo pressing has a slightly bolder/larger label print and the RCA print is thinner. Four out of five were pressed by Compo. The Compo pressing was released in a, unique to Canada, thin white paper sleeve with "The Beatles on Apple" in a script font. The first three words were printed in black with the word "Apple" in green. The RCA pressing was released in a shiny black sleeve with the word "Apple" in green.
A hugh number 1 hit across Canada.
The two discs had different matrix.
Compo matrix: 45 X46434-P1 / 45- X 46435-P1
RCA matrix: 45-X46434 XT / 45-46435XT
